Crawling

Ready for the splash park.

We've known this time was coming for a while, and its been so fun to see Gavin learning so quickly. For the past 10 days or so we've seen him manage the sit->hands and knees->sit transition, inch his way forward, and now he's really extending his distance...not without some frustrations along the way. This video shows one of his first longer distance runs:

We had some friends and neighbors over for a BBQ on Memorial Day, all of whom had kids a little older than Gavin. We joked that they would help us find all the things around the house that we needed to child-proof. Last week was crazy busy for me at work with upcoming deadlines and doing performance evaluations for my staff, but Lorrie did get a chance to take Gavin to the Park near our house that debuted a new splash zone feature. Gavin was very cute in his board shorts (courtesy of Grandma I) and muscle shirt (courtesy of Grandma V).
