Early Christmas

Not everyone thinks that rewiring their home stereo setup is an ideal way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I think Gavin might take after his Dad on this one, though. It does help that reason for the re-wiring was an early Christmas gift in the form of an Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver: 7.1 surround sound, 2 independent zones, HDMI upscaling. Man, this receiver is one bad boy. Rather than wait for Christmas, we decided to go ahead and get this setup so that we could enjoy it during the holiday season. Both Gavin and Chloe were very excited by all the commotion brought on by the re-wiring effort.

I've also posted a video from our Thanksgiving celebration that shows how clearly Gavin was the center of attention. Gavin has a big week ahead. He has a number of outings planned, including demonstrating for a child development class of Occupational Therapy students taught by our friend Janet Everly. If things work out he'll also get to stop by Regenstrief and meet some of my colleagues who have been pleading with us to bring him in.
