Happy 1/2 Birthday Gavin!

So Gavin turned 6 months on his Grandpa Vreeman’s birthday on March 31.  We can’t believe he is already 6 months old!  How time flies!  For his (1/2) birthday Grandpa and Grandma Vreeman sent him some really cute clothes and some new towels for bath time. How fun!

Gavin is growing bigger and bigger each day and is now up to somewhere around 17 to 18 pounds. (We have his six month pediatrician appointment this upcoming week so we’ll know his exact weight then.)  He has got quite the personality - flashing his handsome smile with just a glance.  He loves to have giggling matches and he has a really fun sense of humor.  He delights in all of his toys.  His most favorite thing to do is sit on his blankie playing with his toys which he throws in all directions while challenging himself to reach just a little bit further to get them each time.  A close second favorite is playing in the big bath tub sitting up and splashing himself continually with his hands.  He is starting to roll more consistently from belly to back and just today rolled back to belly one time!  He is also enjoying his exercauser and jumper these days as he is finding that standing is pretty cool.  We are still awaiting his first tooth to pop out as he has been a drool monster for the past three months.  Lately this has been even worse since he got his first official cold and can’t breathe out his nose very well.  We go through several bibs and outfits each day.  He has not had as many solids this week with the cold, but we are hopefully going to start some yummy treats such as bananas, applesauce, and sweet potatoes soon.
